Married... with Children's style evolved gradually. But some episodes set the tone of the series, explained its main plot or were important to the series in another way. Of course this isn't the ultimate milestone episodes list. There's always room for discussions about the importance of an episode, so please don't contact me about adding episodes unless you are really astonished about the lack of an episode.
