General note: This episode was followed by the "My Favorite Married" special. Marcy says she's a Republican. She did this in "Al on the Rocks" (0704) before, but in "But I Didn't Shoot the Deputy" (0104), the Rhoades named their dog after the Democrat feminist Bella Abzug.

Kellyisms: She mis-spells "shoes" as "sheos"; her explanation "E before O except before E-I-E-I-O" is a mixture of "E before O except before C" and the song "Old MacDonald had a Farm, E-I-E-I-O". "Francis Ford Coppertop" instead of "Francis Ford Coppola".

Influences and references: The episode title was inspired by the movie "Pulp Fiction" by Quentin Tarantino. A Rhode Island Red is a poultry breed.
