First camera shot: The Bundy house.

Synopsis: On Valentine's Day, Kelly hauls in a load of valentines, and Steve is giving Marcy a trip to Hawaii. Meanwhile, Bud holds a vigil at the mailbox, waiting for his first valentine, and Peg awaits a decision on whether or not she'll get the gift she wants from Al - for him to say "I love you".

Guest cast:
April May June: Lihann Jones

General note: First wedding anniversary for Steve and Marcy. During the US premiere only, this episode ended with a phone number for viewers to call and vote on what Al should say (check out the ad at Bundyphilia). Later on that night, they played the ending. The vote was 67% in favor of Al saying "I Love You". So this is what Peggy said to the camera before Al left the bathroom:
Thank you so much for understanding. You must know what it's like to smell his socks, to walk barefoot on his toenail clippings, and to kill what's living in his toothbrush. I deserve to hear "I love you" and damn it, I'm going to! And for those of you who voted no, and think I should have a miserable life - Don't worry. I do. [calling sweetly] Oh, Al!
And this is what she would have said to the camera if the viewers had decided the other way round:
So you don't think I deserve to hear "I love you". Have you ever smelled his socks? Have you ever walked barefoot over his toenail clippings? Have you ever seen what lives in his toothbrush? I didn't think so. Feel pretty low now, don't you? You don't want to see him say it? Then turn off the set, 'cause he's gonna say it. [calling sweetly] Oh, Al!
These lines have never been broadcasted. However, Al's answer would have been the same in either case! So there is no alternate scene with Al apart from the one we know from syndicated and foreign versions of the show.

Music: Marcy sings "My Funny Valentine".

Kelly's date: Johnny
Bud's date: April May June

Influences: The episode title is inspired by the song "She Loves You" by The Beatles. Al mentions "Phil" and "Oprah", two US daytime talk show hosts.
