Last update April 28, 2005.

On the two-part episode Married... with Queen (0317/0318), we could see and hear the band The Why. They were uncredited since they were not an actual band and had no lines. However, they were all musicians. In the first part they played Shotgun, and in the second part they could be heard playing What Becomes of the Broken Hearted and This Guy's in Love with You. The following picture was taken on the set by musical coordinator Michael Andreas.

 The Why

The Why's lead singer and guitar player (wearing shades and headband) was Morgan Cavett. The other guitar player is Danny Timms, holding go-go dancer Andrea Parker. The bass player was Peter Marshall. Unfortunately, the drummer's name is unknown. The put-together band was also hired to play at the cast party at the end of season three which was held at the Studio City Lanes bowling alley on Ventura Boulevard, Los Angeles, California.

"Lead singer" Morgan Cavett also told me the following story: "It was fun doing the show. Everyone was real friendly. When we showed up for the second day to tape the show, the assistant director met us at the door and said that director Gerry Cohen wanted to talk to us. I'm not really a singer... so I thought we were going to be fired because of my singing. The director told me I was sounding too good and could I not sing so well. With a big sigh of relief and a chuckle I told the director that it would be easy for me to back off a little. I just started screaming the lyrics and after that everything was fine."

Thanks a lot to Morgan Cavett. Also thanks to Nitzan Gilkis.
