The Bundys were called "Strunk". It wasn't as successful in Germany as the dubbed original version and the TV station RTL cancelled it very soon. Actually the ratings of the remake were about twice as high as the ones of the original series, but the Strunks appeared on primetime (unlike the Bundys who air on pre-primetime), so the program executives decided to stop the show as the audience was too small for the series' time slot. The title song was Er gehört zu mir by Marianne Rosenberg.
