Q. What has it been like for you working on the show?
A. It's been nice for ten years to have a family. I come from a family where I was a single child, an only child, with a single parent, so that has been one of the benefits of having a family atmosphere here, dysfunctional, but a family none the less. The other half of my life is that I have all the modern amenities that I need, [she starts to laugh] I'm financially okay for a while.

Q. What do you think of Kelly as a person?

Christina Applegate

A. I think she's a real cool person, I mean she's not the smartest girl in the world, but she's such a positive person, and she looks at life so positively, and everything is exciting for her, She's like a little kid in that way, everything is new and exciting. I try to bring that into my own life, just really looking at the positive sides of things.

Q. Would you rather play minor roles in films?
A. It's not that I'd rather play a main person, but it's always nice to play other things and explore other territories of your own being, other facets of your own personality. Especially the main part. [She laughs into the camera]

Q. What if they cancel the show, what are you planning to do?
A. Well thats kind of in the hands of Fox right now. They haven't told us that they will be doing another season. My whole life is kinda running round a path as far as what I'm going to be doing, but once the show is over I want to continue to work as an actress in films.

Q. Do you think Kelly will ever move out of her parents house?
A. I don't think so, nobody changes, nobody grows, it remains the same, so, no I don't think she will ever move out.

Q. Do you think there has been a decline in the show over the years?
A. It's... uhmm... [She lowers her head, hides her face behind her hand, starts to laugh and grunts once] Oh no, I'm gonna get in trouble. [Sitting upright again] I think it's had it's ups and downs with every writing staff we've had, but it's hard to keep kinda, the same ideas and what's going on fresh, I think that's difficult. On our part it's really hard to keep it fresh and funny for ourselves, because if it's not funny to us then we can't play it funny, do you know what I'm saying? That's really the struggle I think, just keeping it fresh, you know, the same room the same couch the same people, they're not really going anywhere or doing anything, so you have to keep that fresh, and thats really hard. Through the years we've had some good shows and we've had some -- you know -- crappy shows but that's with any show.
