WHAT IF AL WAS PRESIDENT?
I'd go shopping! Check out the TV sets, check out the couches.

HOW MANY COUCHES HAVE YOU HAD YOUR BUM ON IN THERE?
One. It's actually been the same one for eleven years now. When we're rehearsing now, they cover it so that we can't actually sit on it, cos they're so afraid something's going to happen to it. Really, I swear, yes, absolutely. Why would I lie about a thing like that?

WOULD YOU LIKE TO LIVE NEXT DOOR TO THE BUNDYS?
Probably not, but I don't like to live next door to anyone, hah hah hah. No, I just mean that we like our privacy. I live in Hollywood now, in the Hollywood hills in a nice secluded house.

WHICH IS YOUR FAVOURITE EVER EPISODE?
Oh gosh. I really don't know. I have a few, you know like when I tried to look for a mouse ["Build a Better Mousetrap"]. That was a funny show. There have been so many that they all melt together.

DO PEOPLE RECOGNISE YOU ON THE STREET?
No, it's really great. I do like that. They recognise me when I talk, cos of when I laugh-I guess it comes out pretty similar, but the rest of it I get away with pretty easily. I'm okay.

YOU'RE A SINGER, AREN'T YOU? YOU SING ON LETTERMAN SOMETIMES?
Yeah, I had a record out a couple of years ago. I'm working on another record. Actually, that's what I always did.

ARE THE BUNDYS MORE LIKE THE SIMPSONS OR THE WALTONS?
Oh no, the Simpsons are more like the Bundys-we were there first.

WHAT'S IT LIKE BEING A SEX SYMBOL MOM?
Hah hah hah. Ohhh, I don't really think about that. I mean, she's so cartoonish kind of, I don't think of it when I'm outside of here.

IS THERE A LOT OF YOU IN HER?
Not that much, really. I mean I definitely don't want my clothes this tight but I have a pretty good sense of humour, so does she.

DO YOU EAT BON BONS?
I don't, no. I'm not a big bon bon eater. I east actually very healthy, not much sugar at all.

WHAT ARE THE SIMILARITIES BETWEEN YOU AND HER?
Probably her vanity. She's pretty vain in her own way. Me too. That's about it though. I think that's why it's so much fun, because it's very, very opposite. Especially when I put my wig and clothes on, it's like a whole different deal, all week rehearsing. It doesn't come together until I get dressed. The wig... and the shoes, the shoes are really important.

IS THAT ALL YOU IN THE PEGGY BUNDY CLOTHES?
Of course it is.
