References: At Aunt Mattie's funeral, one of the mourners says, I think Aunt Maddie had "jungle fever" with this man! Jungle fever is a reference to Spike Lee's 1991 film, Jungle Fever. This film is about a black man having an affair with a white woman. In the scene, the mourner is implying that Aunt Maddie (black woman) was having an affair with Al (a white man).
