Important Basic Facts
Buck was the first dog of the family. We can hear his scornful thoughts about the world around him.
Buck died in "Requiem For A Dead Briard" (1003), but he was reincarnated as the Bundys' second dog Lucky.
Buck and Lucky are always starving as the Bundys don't care too much about them.
Both actor dogs were owned by Steven Ritt. His address is:
Acting Dogs by Steven Ritt

Acton, CA 93510
Telephone (661) 269-3647
Useless Additional Facts
According to Al in episode 201, Buck used to belong to Bud. The actor dog playing Buck was
originally called Mike, but his trainer Steven Ritt renamed him during season four.
After that his name was Buck, too. He was 12½ years old when he retired, which is longer than most
briards live. He died on May 28, 1996, at the age of 13. Buck the character dog talks for the first
time in episode 421. Peggy is sitting on the
couch, asking: What channel is "Wheel of Fortune" on? Buck answers: Uhh, it's seven, just like yesterday
and the day before. The voice of Buck was originally provided by staff writer/producer
Kevin Curran (except for special episodes, when it was done by Richard "Cheech" Marin
(513, 811, 824)). This was not revealed until episode 616. Curran also appears in episode 618 as human Buck.
From season eight on, Buck and Lucky's voice was provided by staff member Kim Weiskopf.
Lucky's real name is also Lucky.
